A Fort Collins chiropractor has been sentenced to 18 months in federal prison, and his wife will spend eight months on house arrest after pleading guilty in a tax fraud case.
Gregory and Mary White also will spend three years on supervised release following their sentencing Tuesday. The two ran White Chiropractic Center in Fort Collins.

According to federal prosecutors, the Whites failed to file tax returns from 2000 to 2005, claimed large tax refunds for 2007, and then lied and obstructed Internal Revenue Service agents investigating the case.

The couple pleaded guilty on Oct. 19 to obstructing an IRS investigation, and Gregory White also pleaded guilty to an additional charge of making a false claim.
