A Mississippi chiropractor was recently arrested and charged with insurance fraud after he allegedly made false claims on four patients’ policies.

Dr. James Donovan, 63, who operates the Donovan Chiropractic Clinic in Columbus, Miss., was recently indicted by a Lowndes grand jury on four counts of insurance fraud, according to the Mississippi Attorney General’s Office.

The indictment accuses Donovan of making false or fraudulent claims on the policies of four of his patients, totaling more than $3,500, between Jan. 1, 2007, and March 23, 2008, the office said.
