PASCAGOULA -- An Escatawpa chiropractor and hairdresser arrested for numerous methamphetamine charges over the weekend were in court Monday afternoon with 11 others who were also arrested for alleged drug offenses.

County Judge Larry Wilson set a total bail of $25,000 for 37-year-old Brady Toulme, the owner and sole chiropractor at Toulme Family Chiropractic Clinic.

His girlfriend, Callie Simmons Stewart, owner of Callie's Doin Hair, also received a $25,000 bail, but will remain in the Jackson County Adult Detention Center until her probation officer decides if she can be released.

"I have no control over that," Wilson told Stewart. "That's all up to him."

The 38-year-old hairdresser sobbed while hiding her face with her shaking, shackled hands. She told the judge she was nearing the end of her probation in Harrison County for meth precursors when she was charged over the weekend.

Agents with the Narcotics Task Force of Jackson County said they arrested Toulme and Stewart late Friday night after searching Toulme's home, his chiropractic clinic and Stewart's hair salon.

They were each charged with manufacturing and possession of meth with intent to distribute while within 1,500 feet of a church while in possession of three firearms, as well as possession of precursors and generating of hazardous materials.
