A chiropractor from Shiloh has been sentenced to prison for fraudulent billing and money laundering.

John M. Hardimon, 40, was sentenced to five years and 10 months in federal prison and three years' probation after pleading guilty in October to 14 counts of health care fraud and one count of money laundering.

Hardimon ran Hardimon Chiropractic Center first out of his home in Belleville and later from offices in Belleville and Shiloh.

In court filings, he admitted keeping almost no records and creating fake documents to bill 14 companies or health insurance funds more than $2 million since 2006.
